Pull stamens and suck for a taste of sweet honey. Flowers are both showy and fragrant. This native shrub grows in big mounds and vines through fences. Features bright red berries (only the birds can eat). Grows in mounds and features emerald colored leaves in spring, summer and fall. The leaves are deciduous. European Fly Honeysuckle grows fast and reaches heights up to 8 ft. tall and 10 ft. wide. It makes for a fine windbreak and is salt tolerant.
