Beautiful - Large premium packet of Purple Globe Amaranth (Gomphrena globosa) seed. Globe Amaranth is a low-maintenance choice that withstands heat and drought well. The bushy plant produces masses of purple flower bracts all summer long. Blooms will hold their color when dried for everlasting bouquets. Minimum of 500 mg per packet (about 225 seeds).
Productive - Purple Globe Amaranth germinates in 5-10 days when soil temps are 70-80°F. Plant on top of the soil, sprinkling a light layer over the seeds. Space 8-12” apart in an area with full sun. This variety will grow 1-2’ tall with a spread of 8-12”. Seed heads will mature in 85-100 days, plant in USDA zones 2-11.
Pollinator Friendly - Globe Amaranth, or Gomphrena, is an annual that is commonly used in flower beds and landscapes. Pollinators love the fluffy flowers of globe amaranth and will pay these wildflowers many visits throughout the season.
