Sow seeds directly in the garden 5mm deep and 20-40cm apart, after all danger of frost has passed. Marigolds are strong germinators and need to be sown close to the surface. Keep soil moist but never wet or dry. Seeds should germinate in around 4-10 days at a soil temperature of 24-28°C.
